Montrice Lasley- Shabete has been working in the non-profit sector for 21 years. She holds a bachelors degree in Child Development and Family Relations from Illinois State University.
Montrice began her professional career with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix as a Program Director and shortly after that; she was promoted to Branch Manager. Due to her years of service and dedication with Boys & Girls Clubs, she has received honors and titles such as Employee of the Month, Unsung Hero Award (Employee of the Year) and Senior Branch Manager.
After ten years in the movement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, Montrice and her family relocated to Southern California. She joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Redlands team as a Site Director in August of 1997. In the fall of 1997, Montrice was promoted to Senior Site Director, helping to oversee the orientation and training of all new employees. In June 2011, Montrice was promoted to Director of Program Services, overseeing the operations of 20 school-based programs and held this position for the past seven years.
